Which breed of dog is your favorite? Post a picture of it.

I like Irish Wolfhounds as long as I'm not responsible for feeding them.  I currently have an Irish Wolfhound/Beagle mix who only eats 60 pounds of kibble a month in addition to any stray squirrels, birds, opossums, etc. that stray into the yard.   I like chihuahuas and currently have 2 (both rescues). 

But mostly, I like mutts.  Smart, healthy, obedient mutts who are full of personality and charm. 

And things which might resemble them.

It just clicked with me why Itzl has one particular behavior pattern.

I have no idea why it took me so long to figure it out - I guess I'm not as smart as my hearing partner.

Anyway, Itzl has long had a habit of pottying in white bowls or anything that resembeld white bowls - including small white boxes, plastic shopping bags, towels, and anything else of that nature. He'll even potty on white flowers before he'll mark flowers of any other color.

It was so bad we had to change out the cats' white water bowl for one of another hue (it's blue and brown now).

He followed me into the bathroom this morning, then dashed out to pee in the plastic shopping bag the cats had pulled out of the recycling container.

And it hit me then - he's pottying in white bowl-like things because I do.
